What is Furdentyl™?
Furdentyl™ is an active ingredient produced by ISALTIS, a global Fine Chemistry group that specialises in the development and manufacture of organic mineral salts. It is composed of calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP), an organic salt scientifically proven to be effective in preventing dental caries and tooth demineralisation. Apart from dental and oral hygiene products, Furdentyl™ is also prevalent in skincare and hair care, nourishing the skin microbiota and maintaining hair strength respectively. Furdentyl™ is a mixture of calcium glycerophosphate isomers with an α isomer content of over 80%, optimised for its three intended areas of application. As a highly bioavailable source of calcium, Furdentyl™ is easily absorbed by our bodies, making it efficient and effective even in small dosages.

How does Furdentyl™ work?
In Hair Care
Furdentyl™ enhances hair strengthening by supplying calcium, while the glycerophosphate group provides a conditioning effect. As an organic salt of calcium, Furdentyl™ is soluble and does not form precipitation on the scalp which could lead to hair breakage. Instead, it is absorbed into the scalp, so it can contribute to further hair strengthening and promote hair growth without visibly building up.
In Skin Care
Furdentyl™, as an organic salt of calcium, is easily absorbed by the skin and contributes to skin barrier functioning. In cosmetics, Furdentyl™ stimulates keratinocytes differentiation, fortifying the epidermal barrier against external damage and shed. It also activates the synthesis of skin lipids (ceramide), which helps hydrate and protect your skin from infection, and environmental damage. These effects all help restore barrier function and reduce water loss of the skin, keeping your skin healthy and moisturised.
In Oral Care
In toothpastes and oral hygiene products, Furdentyl™ is designed to provide calcium and phosphorous in the same ratio naturally present in hydroxyapatite. This optimises the remineralisation of teeth, which prevents and repairs caries and cavities, and strengthens enamel. Furdentyl™ improves the fixation of fluorine. This allows a reduced use of fluorides, a relatively toxic ingredient, while offering a better anticariogenic effect. Furdentyl™ also provides a plaque-pH buffering effect that protects teeth against acidic attacks.
